Rivertown Sports opened in April 2000 as the first and only year-round recreational roller hockey facility for youth and adults, in West Michigan. Since opening, Rivertown Sports has grown to include rec basketball leagues & tournaments, rec dodgeball leagues & tournaments.

In addition to recreational sports, Rivertown Sports plays host to many other sporting events including:

• an annual regular season event of the Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey League
• all home games of the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls Flat Track Roller Derby Team
• professional wrestling events promoted by Rapid Pro Wrestling
• amateur Mixed Martial Arts events promoted by Ground and Pound Promotions
• amateur boxing events promoted by West Michigan Golden Gloves

Rivertown Sports is also the official practice home of the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls and the Grand Valley State University Roller Hockey Team.
